Fish: Whole wheat spaghetti with sea food

This is a quick and simple dinner for any day of the week when you don’t have much time to spend in the kitchen after a busy day at work.

  • 300g sea food (any combination is good)
  • 1 banana shallot
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • 60ml white wine
  • 30ml double cream
  • olive oil
  • salt & pepper
  • optional: fresh parsley leaves

Cooking time: 5-7 mins to prepare the pasta, 7-8 mins to cook the food

Preparation: Put the kettle on so that you can boil the pasta faster. Once it is done pour the water into a pan, add salt and add the spaghetti. Start peeling off and chop the onion and garlic.

I prefer to cook this dish in a small wok at a low-medium heat. Add a bit of good quality olive oil (preferably Italian) and then the shallots, the garlic, cook for 1 minute until they are soft, then add the wine and the double cream and cook for 1 min. Season and add the sea food. I prefer to put loads of parsley in this dish, but it is a personal preference and that is why I’ve put it as optional.
