Fish: Shrimp salad

This is a quick and simple dinner for any day of the week when you don’t have much time to spend in the kitchen after a busy day at work.

Shrimp salad

Ingredients:

  • 8 shrimps per person
  • cayenne pepper, garlic
  • olive oil
  • 1 lemon
  • some lettuce leaves or any either green leaves
  • salt & pepper
  • optional: fresh parsley leaves

Cooking time: 5 mins to prepare the shrimps, mins 15 mins to marinate, 6-8 mins to cook depending on how much you

Preparation: Clean the shrimps and marinate them in garlic mixed with oil, smoked paprika powder and cayenne pepper. Let it rest for 15 mins minimum. Prepare the salad leaves, in case you want to make it a salad.

Cooking:

I prefer to cook this dish in a small wok. The key is to heat it up, minimum 2 minutes on high heat, just add the olive oil, then after 1 more min drop the shrimps. They need to be made on each side. Some people like it less done, when they still look like the letter C, and some like it more well done, when they look like the letter O. Once you think they are done, just add the juice of a lemon (not lime) and pour it all over the salad.
