Simply delicious grilled salmon

This is a simple and healthy grilled salmon recipe, but not a fast one from a time perspective. You don’t have to do much, but to be patient.

Grilled Salmon

  • 1 piece o salmon fillet per person
  • soy sauce (enough to cover 1/3 of the salmon piece(s))
  • 1 clove of garlic for each piece of salmon
  • juice from 1 lemon (if you have more than 3 pieces, then use more lemon juice)
  • 1 table spoon of honey (same as lemon juice)

Cooking time: 30 mins to marinate, 20 mins to grill

Preparation: The secrets of this dish are two: quality of the fish and the 30 mins to marinate the fish before putting it in the grill oven.

Put the salmon in tupperware that has a lid. In the following order add  the chopped (not too finely) garlic, the honey, the lemon juice, and the soy sauce. Put the lid on and give the mixture a shake (you can use a zipper bag if you don’t have something else). Leave the mixture in the fridge for 30 mins (shake it a bit after 15 mins) and after that take it out and put it on the grill in the oven at160 C. After approx 10 mins, flip it on the other side, and then after a while flip it again to the original position. There is no exact time indication because it depends on how thick the fish is.

Serve it with a nice salad. I personally don’t think this dish requires a sauce because the fish is juicy enough, but please feel free to experiment and let me know if you find a match.
